Fragen Cosmetic Surgery Center would like to introduce Dr. Maria Lombardo to our patients. Dr. Lombardo joins the practice after completing her Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship in Indiana. Dr. Lombardo graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Art and has further extensive training at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her artistic background and her desire for the creativity that this discipline offers led her to pursue a career in Cosmetic Surgery. Her excellent surgical skills, her unique artistic ability and wonderful rapport with patients make her a great addition to the practice.

Avelar Paniculectomy technique modified for scrotal resection following massive weight loss (paper under progress).
Investigator in Erchonia Low-level Laser study evaluating topical vs. oral niacin administration in conjunction with laser application for body contouring.
Infective sinusitis of the trauma patient in the ICU. Literature review completed July 2003. Study design and protocol IRB approved August 2003. Case Report completed July 2004. Data collection through July 2005. Final paper submitted June 2006. Nominated for Robert C. Irwin Award October 2007.
MRI pixel intensity research project correlating to palpated somatic dysfunction of the cervical spine. Project designed in 1998, data gathered in 1998-1999, abstract published in JAOA August 2000 and research poster presented at the national AOA convention in October 2000.
